06 Model in Artic frost at last

At last the new one arrives

I like the colour and some how it seems to make the motor look bigger

Very smart, bet you're pleased to be back in one again! When are you getting it dirty? Wink

It hasn't been that bad as the nice dealer let me keep the other one till this was ready, as for Dirty hmmmm dunno about that just yet after the last go in the other one it took for ever to get the mud out of the inside and under the bonnet. I actrually take my hats off to those who went to wales because I know I couldnt do it, I would lane all day long in my other one and probably play at a site in this one but would not take it laning yet.

Scorpio, your car looks really great, I like that colour. Glad your pleased with it. As far as Wales was concerned, I did a huge amount of planing with Vince and those that got really dirty were the ones who actually went too fast.

This is mine after a quick wash and brush.

I have just replaced the standard wheels today and whilst on the ramp I looked underneath, no damage what so ever and a tiny bit of mud I had missed in the middle. Why not join us on the Rockingham fun days, they are almost dirt free.

There's a 55 plate RR in Artic Frost outside at the moment- looks great! The colour certainly suits the RR, and also your D3 from the photos.

[The RR is parked next to a silver Aston Martin DB9- looks even better].

[Unfortunately neither the RR or DB9 are mine. There's a posh restaurant opposite with a never- ending cavalcade of fancy metal.]

As for the washing- look on the bright side. The dark metallics are much harder to keep clean than your new one.

Bria it's not the dirt on the outside or the engine bay that worries me but the dirt inside I seem to be a magnet to mud. Laughing Laughing As for the damage did anyone get bad scratches thats what really worries me.

No and I went through gorse bushes and everything. The trick was 'cling film' on the outside, which TFC found, it was great. Felt a bit daft initially, but soon got over that, better than damage.

As for mud inside I got nothing because the car is so great, we just drove and drove, through rivers, fords, hills and valleys.

The only scratches I have found are on the black trims around the windscreen. This will polish off easily.

The carpets have brushed off 100%. I can find no scratches on the bodywork, and I did not use cling film, and attacked a gorse bush!

The wheels however have suffered. 19" rims do not suit off road driving.

I agree Gareth not that it took Wales to find that out. I've decided to stick with them and maybe get them mended when I trade in as I think switching wheels will be a fag and I don't want noisy tyres on all the time.

I found the photos very useful, as I am thinking of buying a Disco. I had wondered about Arctic Frost -being keen on ice and snow- but found the pictures in the brochures too small to help my decision. I had just about decided to settle for Zambesi Silver (not me at all but nearer the colour of my present car) but having seen yours, I think I'll go for Arctic Frost after all.

Is the interior Ebony? Is that just as attractive?

Eric

Hi Eric

we thought hard about the interior and ebony seemed to be the only choice the rest did not seem to go together, I am glad we went for ebony as it suits the external colour very well

Thanks for the further information.

If I buy a Disco, do I have to sit up all night too, answering questions here? Laughing

Thanks again.
