1. One posting suggested that they could even pull you out of ruts Exclamation I had doubts since it's almost a golden rule that once you're in a rut, you're in it Confused Experience showed yesterday that this golden rule still applied for all but the shallowest of ruts. Nonetheless, the ability of the tyres to grip the side of the ruts and so avoid some sideways slippage was commendable Thumbs Up

That was me.Some who were behind me at The Blooms will testify that they weren't shallow .Then again I wasn't saving the horses at the time neither .

Glad you went for them though Thumbs Up

Not sure how that happens. I guess it's silver cars that photo well 8)

I got the tyres from http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m26b819s0p0 - all 4 delivered for £316 Thumbs Up

Now all I need is a 17" spare...... does anyone know if the D3 wizardry will do silly things if I used the 18" as a "just get me home" spare? The overall diameter difference is 1.6" between the 17" with Maxxis and 18" with P Scorpions. All advice welcomed Confused

Yep, it might!
If it senses the diameter difference to be too great, your auto box will go into safe mode and not change up beyond 4th gear.
You'll need to move to command shift to change up.
But I wouldn't drive too far or fast as it's trying to tell you something.
