When I was phoning around Kent/Essex dealers to get prices for 105K mile service Lookers in Chelmsford were the ones that were happy to negotiate the most. When asked if they would price match the service guy said they would consider it not just with other LR dealers but possibly with local specialist independants as well.

How random is the pricing though (Yeovil excluded) as I contacted Harwoods Basingstoke and was told £470!

I have just managed to get Marshalls Land Rover at Lincoln to match Yeovil at £350!!! I've always had good service from them in the past so am well chuffed at not having to drive all the way to Yeovil from South Yorkshire.

How do you keep the warranty if you do the job yourself ?
What are they stamping the book to confirm ?

Sorry to bring up an old subject but I have been looking around for prices and reading forums for price guides, due to the fact I live in Bedfordshire & now Perrys Luton has closed! There is a new place just opened (not a main dealer) and they quoted me £260 inc vat for my 30k svs and told me they use Land Rover parts. Is this a good price or is there better near by?

What's the current price at Yeovil then Bodsy, do you know
I reckon I would probably use about £75.00 in fuel at todays price. I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

£340 ISTR the 45k is just under £300 and I reckon 350 miles, working out to about £60 or less. And more importantly, knowing the jobs done right Bodsys Brake Bible

I did a route from here and it gave me 195 miles each way, but it would be cheaper even if I used £100 of fuel I might just have to go to Yeovil I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.
