What have people recently paid for this on a d3 HSE, ours is due, wondered what a reasonably fair price was?

Cheers Binko, although I live in Little Baddow, (so obvious choice would be Lookers Chelmsford), if I can borrow the car for a day then Essex Ford is a no-brainer as my factory is in Southfields at the back of Toomeys . Perfect!

Very strange, rang them this morning and they're not budging from £460 ! looks like it'll be Lookers at £390.

I started getting a few quotes yesterday, was quoted £470 from one dealer that I have not used before, I guess that's the guide price.
Can anyone comment on what Yeovil do it for? Might be worth the trip, but £40-50 in fuel may make it uneconomical!
Also, I think its a "type B" service, can anyone point me towards a document that explains what the types are?
EDIT: To answer my own question: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic18516.html

Oooh, your cheap!
Thanks Nick, I will bear that in mind as if the local dealers says £470 its worth it even with a heavy fuel bill for the round trip!

I am not doubting its worth the drive... apart from initial costs its more the time to be honest, as wifey is main driver of the D3.
Can't say enough good stuff about Yeovil parts supply, so no reason to doubt the service is any different

ok - for what its worth - here's a bunch of prices from the south east-ish area that I got yesterday (pls note - these are first request prices only - inc VAT & parts and in most cases a courtesy car - although not detailed what you would actually get). I believe the majority would offer a price match - but some declared they would not as they are flushed with work.
No surprises who leads the way with more than just a bit of daylight between the also-rans - good old Nick
S stones Wooburn Green - 527
S stones Aylesbury - 527
Chipperfield K langley - 490
G salmon Ascot - 497
Lancaster Reading - 451
C Hurst Park Royal - still yet to return call
Perrys Luton - 498
G salmon Thames ditton - 530
Pilling welwyn 460
TH white Swindon - 520
Hartwell Oxford - 500
Harwoods Basingstoke - 420
Yeovil LR - 340
Hope this is of use as a benchmark - but again, remember these are initial price requests and some will certainly move from this start point - although Nick probably has gone far enough .
cheers, Tim 2007 TDV6SE Auto Stornoway Grey - now sold...
