2004 D3 For Breaking or Project - Advice needed
Hello Disco3, not been on for quite a while. Looking for help and advice.
Many of you will remember Highbayrack, Chris Watts who was an active member on here who passed away in July 2015.
Chris purchased my D3 from me in 2015 when i sold it, it was a launch vehicle VX04 reg, I did many many happy miles in here before passing it to Chris.
Since Chris's passing his wife Audrey used the D3 for a while until it had some mechanical issue, which for a 13 year old LR with 216,000 miles on it.... is to be expected.
It is currently SORN'd and MOT expired in April this year.
Audrey is now looking to dispose of vehicle.. below is what she has written.... and pictures. Car is in Northamptonshire. Audrey, couldn't post it on here herself as she hadn't posted enough so asked me to help...
BREAKING-or may consider selling complete - Bottom end bearings went so is a non runner
In the last year it’s has had a new torque converter, alternator, air conditioning compressor. (2017, not run since end February 2018)
The car has a couple parts of a discovery 4 and 19” alloys from a discovery 4 including a spare
Broke down one day as alternator went resulting in the radio/sat nav not working .... Keeps blowing the fuse.
She doesn't know what to value it at given the condition, any ideas ? Anyone interested in the old girl ? Any questions PM me or message on here or call me 07974 205421

Sadly I suspect its real value is in spares. The cost of a replacement engine etc is more than the car is worth.New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)
