Your first action should be to get the codes read and see what if anything is logged, You will not see any fuel from the injectors when you have a problem, the pcm ecu will not authorise it when it sees a problem.

Some good suggestions but you could be totally going off in the wrong direction, see whats logged first.

Flack Thumbs Up

Suggest you take Flacks advice in the first instance Thumbs Up

p0087 and p0191 - both seem to relate to low fuel pressure

Correct. Now, you need to check to low pressure supply to the engine Thumbs Up

You mean press the tyre valve at the rear of the engine and see if fuel domes out

I would follow Disco Mikey's advice and Flacks, they are more knowledgeable than almost anyone on the D3/4 Thumbs Up

When mine refused to start the AA man squirted loads of Easy Start up the air intake pipe past the air filter while I cranked it over.........once running it pulled fuel past a semi blocked fuel filter that was due to some crap fuel from a small Cornwall filling station. It ran fine afterwards until I had a full service a week later Sad

As it stopped while running on the motorway with no major dramas I don't think you have major engine failure as the doomsayers are hinting at. You just have a fuel delivery problem that needs tracing logically....... 8)

With all the cranking and testing make sure you keep the battery charged or you will introduce another load of issues into your fault finding... Embarassed

in tank fuel pump fuse I assume.

need to unplug the connectors by the fuel tank, and trace all the wiring back to the engine bay, looking for chaffing to body work
