Fuel section has changed as well
B5 (5%) Biodiesel may now be used. (diesel)
E10 (10%) ethanol fuel may now be used. (Petrol)
Fuel with a minimum RON of 90 may be used in petrol vehicles. It then goes on to say that fuel with a RON < 91 can possibly cause engine damage
The download(s) now consist of "hundreds" of little sections, which is a pain (to keep them in order/context).

Apologies if this is a REALLY stupid question, but when does the 2007 model year start?
Is it literally from 1st Jan 2007, or is it new cars from September?

Not looked at the above mentioned document but I was told that the 07 models will have full access to the sat nav controls whilst driving. So no need to enter 1791 any more.

That feels like a software upgrade could be possible on the 2005/2006 models Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Traditionally the new model year cars started to emerge after the factory came back on stream from its July/early August holiday - that doesn't happen quite to the extent it used to. I think, therefore, that is no longer the case, and that they have already started to produce the 2007 model - you can certainly order one right now and have it for September delivery (just). A factory order is taking 8-9 weeks, allowing for slightly extended time to cover the holiday period mentioned above.
