Tail gate washers not working . water in the tank front washers ok operate rear switch can hear the pump running but no water at the jet so removed the hose from the jet no water. so removed the next connection at the non return valve still no water coming through from the pump any info would be appreciated john

Ah Job done, rear window washer now working! I removed the water hose from the rear non return valve underneath the black plastic window cover which I carefully prised off. Then connected up my 12 volt air compressor to the washer hose, then after a few gentle low pressure attempts at 'blowing the suspected obstruction at the pump end out' Yippee --- success! The pump in the water bottle now pumps through . so I gave it a good flush through with clean water, then re filled the washer bottle, everything now back together. Working fine job done! remember though if you try this reverse blowing method to clear gunge from the pump or bottom of the water bottle ----BE GENTLE with the pressure the last thing you want is a burst water hose some where in the depths of the car body.
