Suspension failure - forcing compressor to run after 60 amp

Hi,

I'm stuck.... a familiar cry I hear you say. I've had my LHD 2008 D3 for 2 weeks, all good. Then yesterday to get a lot of salt off it, I took it to the jet wash, also did the wheel arches and sills. Almost immediately I set off all ok, then within 20 mind it was down on the bump stops. Suspension fault. I thought it might have been an electrical problem with water ingress, which might dry out overnight, but this morning I found the 60 amp fuse under the bonnet has gone. Ordered a few plus spare relays but made up a temporary one with appropriate fuse wire. However the compressor is still not running. I've got C1A27-14 and C1131-92 error codes. I've saved all the data for reference and cleared the codes, restarted now only C1A27-14 but compressor still not going. What's the best way off jumping the compressor briefly to see if it will run....? Or indeed any other advice.

Regards

Rob

Oh is there a way of setting the bonnet state etc to closed, in order to test the systems whilst working on it?

Jet washing the wheel arches is not a good idea on these cars.
Many times, far too many to recall, posters have done the same only to be met with a whole host of random errors. Rolling Eyes

If it was me I would remove the front l/h wheel arch liner and dry everything out. There's a number of electrical connectors behind it and yours are very probably flooded. Disconnect them one by one and dry them out. Hopefully normal service will be resumed.
