They're only 5mm Al, surely the protrusion of the existing hub will be enough to accuratly locate the wheel?

possibly, just check when you put them on that there is enough lip still showing to get into the center part of the wheel, as the first part of the hub hole in the wheel is tappered (to help fitting the wheel), and it wont center if its only into this part.

or finding out what is wrong with your car to prevent your 20"s fitting (without rubbing), seeing as others have managed to get them to fit without problems Whistle Thumbs Up

Fair point SJR,

It's just I cannot see a 37k mile D3, that's never been seriously off roaded, will have worn suspension.

I've got all receipts from new, only 2 owners (last owner used it as a weekend car only and did 18k in 2 years).

I'll get the garage to have a close look at it tomorrow.

Hey its a Land Rover, people have had diffs fail at <10k miles on D3's so by 37k miles anything is possible unfortunately Sad

And thanks for reading my previous post as it was intended and not being offended by it Thumbs Up

if there's nothing worn, then wheel offset or rim width must be different. Are you sure they are 53mm (or lower, as this puts the wheel further out), and 9.5" wide (not 10"), as I've seen copies ranging from 8.5" to 10.5", with offsets from 35 to 53mm.

Genuine LR ones have the landrover logo cast into the back (even though they are cast/made by someone else.)

Al

I've not found the LR stamp (as yet) but I have found a serial number (in right place) which tally's with LR's

Well they're on!

Used 3mm spacers (from Halfords) in the end,
The 5mm and 9.5mm 120 PCD dimensions didn't allow for an M14 bolt..and thus didn't fit Big Cry so drove to my local halfords with a tape and bolt and voila..sorted

Without the spacers the nuts did 9 turns, with the spacers 8.5, and the reccommended minimum was quoted as 6

Got the guys to check the suspension and all seams fine

I've got a slight rub on the bottom lip of the inner wing at full lock but nothing a hacksaw cannot "adjust"

No vibrations Ron,
The guys said the older generation of spacers were not very good, but these were very well engineered and located snugly for a positive fit.
