Got to Gaydon and it very quickly whizzed up the slip road (no break lights - which were working by the way) which was a shock as its a VERY tight one when exiting from the London bound side. Martin will verify that.
Absolutely, I wouldn't want to throw a 4x4 round it
Seemed to be well flat too going round the curve... a well sorted beast if I ever saw one.
Oh and did I mention it was flippin FAST.

No idea mate. Couldn't keep up with it at all... could be I guess from the way it moved.
The current Freelander (1.8, V6 or TD4) would have been left for dust too.
Did look quite a bit bigger but then it was black with black - what looked like - tarpaulin on the back. Very dirty too. But definitely a healthy size compared to the current one.

Well if the D3 looks like a Transit that'll look like a Transit Connect then

No its similar in size like D2 to D3 it just uses the space better. My dealer has sat in it. He described it as Freelander like at the front, D3 sides and RRS rear.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Anyone know for sure, when/if the D3 will get the bigger Diesel lump. I've been told no plans for at least another 18 months.
I'd love to know, as the only issue I have with the D3 is that IMO It's a little underpowered.
I'd get it chipped, but Sods Law as soon as I buy one, the announcement will be made that the 3.0 is due out in Sep.!

All I know is that it's due this year but it may go in RRS first as a 2nd diesel engine choice...Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!
I would have thought the 3L lump may not be anymore powerful than the 2.7L, at a guess it'll be more 'restricted' to make it EuroIV compliant so the capacity has been raised to compensate for this. You could go for the TDV8 though
Hopefully TC or someone else with a bit more inside knowledge will be able to reveal moreThe End

The only reason they are bringing out a 3.0 litre TDV6 is to comply with euro 4. I understand it will not be any more powerful than the current 2.7 TDV6 so it makes no odds which engine you opt forMoney talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!
