Any suggetsions for getting some sleep over the next couple of nights?? I feel like a 5-year old kid on the run-up to Christmas
Picking up my new D3 SE Auto from a dealer I've never met (Lakeland) on Friday, so I will have a couple of days in the Lakes with my new toy before taking it home. Anybody got any tips for what I should look for on collection or what I should do first....
My wife is looking for a lakeside hotel but I'm suggesting we should sleep in the back of it instead!!! I don't think I can bear the thought of leaving it alone in a hotel car park on our first night

Congratulations!!! How envious I am.... Mine will not delivered until end of May....
You will definitely have a harder time falling asleep if you leave your new toy alone in the hotel's parking lot....
Enjoy!JL Martin

Yes, new D3s everywhere, in Bavaria too - and we have the snow! I also collect the car on Friday but I have touched it already I would have put a photo in but I don't seem to be able to access my gallery just now.
JMC - if you are going to The Lakes, then pamper your new D3 - take it to the Mason's Arms at Strawberry Bank and buy it a Coke (with a straw) and a bag of crisps while you and your wife are inside by a log fire having some of the best pub food on the planet. 8)
Bottom right (i.e. south east) bit of Windermere. Hang on a mo and I'll find you an NGR...
Take the A592 from Newby Bridge (nice hotel at Lakeside, just round the corner from there) towards Bowness. Take the third minor road on the right (takes you past Gummer's How - worth the climb if you're feeling energetic, but you might have to leave your D3 out-of-sight for a few minutes). That takes you to Strawberry Bank (marked on the 1:50,000 OS). NGR of the pub is SD414897.
Have fun if you go, have a beer for me and ENJOY the new car!
