Ripon LR for me too.
Armstrong Massey have such poor service it is unbelievable they get away with it - especially the girl on service desk. I have had several dealings with them and have found them unhelpful to the point of diagnosing faults over the phone and then thinking it odd that I requested they actaully look at the vehicle to find the fault!
Last dealings were when they tried to rip me off for £900 when I put petrol in diesel tank - took them 3 days to even look at the car and come back with a price, had the car removed taken to another delaer and got it done for £300, same job.
Ripon are good value, helpful and go that extra mile imho

perhaps its your "do it now" attitude they dont like, you cant go to the doctors and get immediate attention why should it be any different for a car, they have their day to organise too graham

Graham, with any vehicle I've previously owned, the dealer has always at least taken the time to 'diagnose' the problem, that's the least I was hoping for. I understand your point about the doctor, but if you had a serious issue you would go to A&E. This was a similar situation with my vehicle, it was urgent as I could not get access to my goods in the rear [and was not prepared to haul them through the rear cabin, on an ongoing basis]......IS IT ME!!!! am I asking too much after spending £41 with them?? Especially when other dealers I've visited throughout the country for various small items [like topping up my coolant -leak] have also provided prompt, efficient & immediate service. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

I have bought all my LR's from Armstrong Massey and always found them to be competetive. Agree with comment on high servicing costs but cant fault the service they have provided.

Not sure if this is still the case, but in the distant past when we had a Disco200, LR had a habit of changing anything that was on their tick list.
As always I asked to be informed before they did any work and decided not to have anything done at that time (twas a bit skint). Any how my point was that a large amount of their "faults" were never a problem in the 4 years we had the car and therefore we did not spend the money they were asking.
After that experience I used independant service agents (AJD LandRover in Broxbourne and KLLR in Kings Langley) and was pleased with them both.
It does not cost for a second opinion, especially if you use the firms phone to shop around Stornoway HSE MY07 with Body Colour side mouldings.
