straight out of the dealers on 1st March and into the fields down by the river ...
doesn't get any better Very Happy

until you've done 1500 miles on fishing trips a week or so later returning 31mpg, and nice and grimy.
Aintree Green looking almost black at times.

Where were you fishing? Any luck?

Get my new Aintree Green HSE this week (I hope!)....looks a nice colour. I've got Galway at present so not a vast difference!

took it up to Ross-on-Wye for a week fishing that superb river, before the river close-season 15th March for 3 months, obsessed by Barbel.
Superb motorway cruising, great pulling power on Herefordshire 'hills' in seventh or eigth gear (?) at amazing low revs, though using air-con pulls down the mpg noticeably. The Fuel Burning Heater is an absolute boon for those frosty early starts, the remote really does work over hundreds of metres, electric heated windscreen is very good to have, and I'll never be without a heated steering wheel ever again. Heaven, it was , ditto the fishing Very Happy

I know the Wye very well and fished it for many years for salmon around Hereford/Ross & up near Glaisbury. My father had a stretch round How Capel/Hoarwithy which was very prolific in those days (late '50's early 60's).

There always have been some very big Chub in the river, but by all accounts the Barbel are too! You ought to try the Avon near Bath, they're catching some good ones!

Glad you liked the car...the new engine/gearbox sounds like a step up from my 2011 model, so I'm really looking forward to getting it.
