Has anyone got the tech instructions for removal of the 3rd row seats? I need to get mine out to be able to clean out the accumulated damp dog hair that's fallen between the cracks . SWMBO moans about the smell every time she gets in, so I', blaming the dogs for now
I've seen this thread http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic4015.ht...at+removal but would like to see the LR documentation before I start searching for Torx bolts.Previously:

They are a PITA to remove (mainly due to the weight of them) and not much more fun to get back in. I'd just get in there with a vacuum cleaner and a brush or two to dislodge the bits of damp dog, probably quicker than removing themThe End

Ive just given mine a good hover and clean etc. I got under the 3rd row seat without any problems. No need to remove them
Clean under the base of the seat before you flip it up, every part is accesable.Duncan

Thanks for the advice. I've tried it with a piece of hose pipe attached to the end of the Dyson, and fed that into the area where most of the crap was, but still some stuck in there. I'll give it another go later. What a shabby design though Previously:

Ridgebackmoor, your 3rd row seats must be of a different design to mine thenn, as I can get all around the base of my seats very easily, there is loadsa space Duncan

The problem area is in between the 2 seats, on the metal bracket. There's a small gap which lets hair and muck in, but no easy way of cleaning it all out. I got the Dyson + hose pipe contraption down there so far, but there's still a load of crud further along that I can't reach.Previously:

if its that difficuly wrap some sticky tape inside out around a screw driver and bodge it about, that should lift any muck you cant get to Duncan

Have you thought about fitting a boot guard such as a hatchbag to protect the boot?. Fitted one to mine and don't get any problems with hair getting onto the boot carpet or between the seats. 2 Ridgebacks in the back most days (dry and Wet!) and we don't get the eau de wet dog smell from the back 2018 D5 3.0 HSE Lux

Yep, got a hatchbag in there now, and also carry 2 wet Ridgebacks around - but the previous owner has a St Bernard and boy did that thing leave some stinky fur behind! Even my dogs don't like the smell
