4 piece EGR blanking and retain pipes?

I'm planning to try EGR blanking and see how I fare with an imminent Swiss MOT. I can see there are three main options

1. premium 4 piece blanking (Stainless steel)
2. clone 4 piece blanking (Aluminium)
3. 2-piece slotted blanking plates without gaskets
4. 2-piece blanking plates with gaskets.

My question is: Which should I buy? Instinctively I want to blank at TB and EGR valve and retain pipes. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Andy

Yes, absolutely possible.
Standard (thin) blanking plate at the EGR end, and a ball bearing from a broken CV joint in the joint at the butterfly end.

Don't forget to remove the butterfly blade, but retain the shaft and drive.

Go with number 3, you slide the plate in with the metal shim gasket on the EGR side.

Option 3, easiest route and most discrete. As above, don’t forget to remove the butterfly valve or you’ll risk choking the engine.

Mikey, are you saying you don't need to remove the butterfly?

The butterfly should be removed, but you need no additional parts to the 2 plates Thumbs Up
