4 X 4 Info screen ...gears showing
I have a loan HSE and have been having a mess around with bits that i dont have on my SE.
One thing that i cant work out is wether the 4x4 info screen should actually show what gear your in or just P , D , N or R ( as its an auto )
When i put it in command shift it still only displays "D" for example not 1 , 2 , 3 etc . Surely the point is to tell you what gear you are in ? ..or am i being mislead from this picture

It proberly is ..but i dont have a manual for a HSE ..its not my car G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Adrian, when using command shift on an Auto, the gear selection shows on the Mileage Display
