5 weeks away.....

After getting caught out by a flat battery following a 2 week lay-up at the airport a couple of years back, I thought there was no chance it would be alive after 5 weeks.....I was wrong. https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/well-put-da...le+airport
Considering the low temperatures it endured in the airport car I was a bit surprised. I fully charged the battery with the Ctek a few days before leaving, but I took the jump starter as I was convinced there was no way it was going to start.
The only issue was the pads felt like they'd melted to the discs, and it took a few "spirited" attempts at pulling away before they released.
No complaints though, and it just shows the value of putting the battery on the charger, and the difference it makes if you're not going to use the car for a while Thumbs Up

Sorry I didn’t manage to hook up Ashley, maybe next time 😎
Weather and scenery were a bit rubbish, but apart from that it’s was good Laughing

Arrived back to some typical Scottish conditions ....5c, thick fog and driving drizzle....was dreading the car not starting, but all was well

Great shot of Mt Cook!

Your got your timing bang on - things are definitely cooling down here now, had the fire on the last few days.

Still, there’s two months for the Scottish weather to improve before we arrive over. Last June was astounding weather, if we get anything even close this year I’ll be a very happy bunny!
