I have run both and imo the LTZ's are way ahead of them in all departments, plus they look 8) when fitted.

You've run both of what? The AT3 is brand new and only just hitting the road.

Same dilemma here. Just had a cracking fitted price from my local on the GG AT3 so tempted by them. It's the unproven track record that's putting a spanner in the works. Confused

Both of what the original poster was asking about, Not AT3 but general grabbers will there be a big difference on tread design?

I have 19" LTZ,s and I love them. I have been off road with them and they do the job, on road they are fairly quite. I will see if they cope with snow (If we get any) Thumbs Up

In May 2010 we had 6" of snow in late May in Grantoon, it lay for about a week from memory. It also snowed in July but that didn't lie. Don't want another winter & spring like that.

Yes they should, many AT tyres of today no noiser than Road only use tyres.

I stopped using Grabbers due to the Rub a dub noise, which though not particularly loud was intrusive and annoying and detracted from the enjoyment of driving a £50k plus mtr.

Other AT tyres choices out there do not suffer from this and or the drop in mpg that was also a factor in days gone by Thumbs Up

Pirelli ATRs don't produce any increase in noise or fuel use. My D3 on ATRs isn't any noisier than the D4 on Scorps. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

The ATR is a good tyre but struggles in muddier conditions where the Grabber AT is better. I kind of wished I still had ATRs on at Les Combs as they are excellent in stoney dry conditions.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Interesting to read all the differing opinions but I'm still non the wiser lol.

I'm really tempted with the AT3 for the snowflake alone as the winter is tipped to be harsh over the Pennines this year.

I reckon it will come down to the flip of a coin in the morning Laughing
