There is no fuse for the compressor. Battery junction box fuses 12E, 17E and Central junction box fuse 51P supply the Automatic Temperature Control Module and front blower motor.GAP IID Pro Multi Vehicle Defender L316 2007-2015 - Discovery 3 - Discovery 4 - Discovery Sport L550 - Freelander 2 - Range Rover Evoque L538 - Range Rover L322 - Range Rover L405 - Range Rover Sport L320 - Range Rover Sport L494 Electrical Fault Diagnostics

Which one does the temperature control, I think may that is why my wing mirrors are getting hot in 20°c outside temp and AC not working.

The ATCM controls the relay for the heated washer jets/door mirrors, the control circuit is ground side switched. Fuse 16E in the battery junction box supplies both door mirror heaters. The ATCM could be commanding the relay to close based on the input it's receiving from another sensor or the relay contacts could potentially be stuck in the closed position, live data from the ATCM would help with the diagnosis.GAP IID Pro Multi Vehicle Defender L316 2007-2015 - Discovery 3 - Discovery 4 - Discovery Sport L550 - Freelander 2 - Range Rover Evoque L538 - Range Rover L322 - Range Rover L405 - Range Rover Sport L320 - Range Rover Sport L494 Electrical Fault Diagnostics

Hi Allan,
Thanks for that, I see you are in Northampton would you be able to do a plug in next weekend? I am in Africa until friday and my delphi doesn't seem to do live data.

A/C Compressor Control
Everyday is a schoolday!
Never knew the compressor 'ran' all the time, even when off.

Google variable displacement air con compressor, interesting stuff.
To the op does your external temp display agree with the actual outside temp?

My ac is still not working and I have done a scan and saw that there had been intermittent low pressure anybody know what readings/resistance from pins on the pressure sensor should be?
Can the sensor be removed without losing gas?
Cheers

I doubt you can replace sensor without a regas no matter how quick your hands are, not sure where sensor is located but if rubber sections close by maybe crimping hoses could work, but then you may genuinley have low pressure afterwards so would be no better off.

I think the sensor is next to the hot port on the ac pipes, I tried to loosened it off a little but it looked like it wouldn't stop loosing gas ,I had a similar problem with my Audi A8 and I was able to swap the sensor without loosing gas. I have a gauge to plug on the cold port and it shows that the pressure is max from when I had it refilled 5 weeks ago.

Is it possible to stick a resistor in the sensor wires or maybe just joint them together to fool the ecu?

I need to know the resistance values or voltage as it looks like from the image below, I have 4k , 7k and 12k across the pins

I have read that issues with the mixer flaps are becoming more and more common. These are connected to the HVAC unit rather than the a/c compressor and refrigerant system.3 Flash Indicators
