Does anyone know how to remove the side vent for the air filter driver side. Would like to take this of to clean inside of it full of crude.
Any advise appreciated.

A firm pull, but be warned the lugs nearly always snap off so you'll probably need a new one afterwards

Technique is.......on a D3 (so would assume the same on a D4)
Stand with back towards wing, hands behind your back and gripping centre section, knees bent and lift upward and outward.....
