So, having looked more I’m seeing this AMK upgrade? But it says you need a dealer update for that.... I’m assuming that’s another £100?Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

So an excuse to buy the IID then.... but at £360 for the pump that’s £765 might have to wait a month or two.....Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

Forget it, buy cheap buy twice, an Iid tool will pay for itself in a year believe me! Plus give you hours of enjoyment installing upgrades, clock in the dash, satnav on the move, see me home rear lights, park brake on when ignition turned off, latest gearbox firmware for a small extra fee, etc, etc. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Nanocom is not cheap, seems about same price or a little more.
Already got clock in dash.
Trouble is all the extra fees you seem to have to pay after an already expensive purchase of the IID Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

Only if you add another vehicle, change your car, purchase a one off firmware upgrade specific to your gearbox module for instance that was delivered within hours of ordering and would cost 10 times as much elsewhere, if in fact it is available elsewhere.
The after sales customer care is unrivalled, they sorted a problem out for me at 7pm one Saturday by connecting to my car through a laptop with Iid tool plugged in over the net from Canada - beat that Mr Nanocom It can when others can't,

Totally agree. I wouldn't *buy* a Nanocom today but if there's someone nearby with one, they might help you out as it's not VIN locked. If I were buying I'd only consider the IID today. I've owned both. That ship has sailed...2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

There was no fee to change the car to another or GAP elected not to charge me for it. Nice guys, excellent support and a great tool.
I plug it in every few weeks to check whether there are any codes as part of normal upkeep.
Update: perhaps I wasn’t charged since I was the original owner of the IID and changed vehicles.
