No, if it does you have a problem and need to get to the deaer. It should be at normal height.

From the Owners Manual MY06:

High speed height
This feature lowers the suspension ride height
by 20mm, if the vehicle exceeds 160 km/h
(100 mph) for longer than five seconds. This
action is automatic and cannot be over-ridden.
Ride height will return to normal when vehicle
speed remains below 130 km/h (80 mph) for 30
seconds.
Note: NEVER exceed the speed limits.

No it doesn’t lower but when we pick it up from the dealer, he said when do above 60mph it lowers to a motorway height like the range rover, is this true Question

Well the handbook states above 100mph and not the 60mph your dealer stated. As yet I have not had mine lower, but then where I live the chance to get above 70mph is quite rare and even when the oportunity arises I don't think the mpg would like it much traveling at 100mph+ Smile

Jim thats a good one, never seen that in my book, must look again, but then I can't afford to travel at those speeds, too costly.

He is mistaken. The system does not operate in the same way that the Range Rover's does. I would tell him that when you are next at the dealer; a lot of misinformation is spread by sales people who are clearly not well briefed on the way the vehicle operates.

Jim's point is right - the system will lower over 100mph. It is in the User Manual.

However, what the dealer was telling MB was nonsense.

Brian, to clarify, Jim got the info out of the 2006MY Handbook. It is NOT in the 2005MY Handbook (either version 1 or 2). The suspension, though, operates the same, regardless, though - unlike Extended Mode - you'd not notice it.

It seems a bit far fetched that they should set the speed trigger point at 100 mph. If it was a miss print, and was actually kph then wouldn't 100 kph work out at roughly 60mph.

A lowering of the suspention at 60mph (100kph) would benifit most folk and would therefore be a cost effective function to include. To spend the development money for a function that does not kick in until 100 mph is most unlikely.

There aren't many places that you can hit 100 mph in the D3, but it is possible as I found on the German Autobahns, but for only short periods at a time, where as to exceed 60mph is not too difficult on our motorways.

Coffeecup, I agree that the 60mph would make far more sense. But surely the LR handbook would have had to have 4 mistakes for both km/h and mph in terms of 'feature change' and 'return to normal' settings
