The Passenger Side airbag warning indicator indicating that it is off has just happened to me (new Disco 4 less than 5 weeks old). I shall be speaking to the dealer in the week and will post back any resolution.

RichardS, welcome.
Have you checked the position of the airbag manual control switch, visible on the end of the dashboard when the passenger door is open? Perhaps someone has had a play and turned it off...

Transgenic tomato anyone?

In reply to stapldm:

Yes after I read the manual this was the first thing I checked and I tried switching it to the on and off position a couple of times to see if it might reset it but no joy.

To Dunc:

I was lucky to get the 0% LR finance so I only had to put 50% down on the table. Might have a little problem in 2 years time when the balance falls due though Wink

OK the dealer's aftersales unit is going to pick it up and have a look at it next Monday. Until then...

Well this is humilating:

Apparently the indicator warning light coming on for up to 5 seconds when the engine is started is perfectly normal (it's the car testing the indicator works). Hence, I have egg on my face...

I'm sure it never used to come on when I first picked the car up, but I wouldn't swear my life to that so apologies to everyone for wasting your time Embarassed
