Airbag Red Warning Light on

Earlier today I left my boys in the D3 for 2 minutes outside a clients house while I picked up a service book and when I got back in started her up there was a red airbag warning light on the dash Question

I turned her off an on and even turned the passenger airbag off and then on again again but red light is still there.

I checked if any OBD faults but none just the red dash light that looks like an airbag next to the seatbelt one....

Any ideas guys its driving me nuts?

Will check thanks - interestingly no basis OBD codes but I think you may need testbook for Airbag codes.....

A faulty transducer on my passenger leat belt reel had to be replaced to cure the same problem - it took 3 visits to a LR agent for them to cure it

I have just removed all the passenger and drivers side trim to have a good look at the wiring and found what I think are the brown coloured "Transducers" just under the seat belt tensioner. I unplugged one and the warning light (that was on) flashed but then stayed on when I replugged it in???

I looked under the seats and all the connectors looked OK and no loose wires that i could see so I am stumped unless the light will only go out when cleared by Testbook? I have no OBD codes showing....

I have had the warning light re-set and it has not come back on.....

Code were:

U1a00 Private Bus Circuit
U0073 Control Mod Comm Bus Off

Anybody know what these mean?

Clock spring? TSB for it but try to get dealer to do for free.

As stated above it was cured by the reset so I do not believe there are any current problems. Even changed the Steering wheel to Smooth leather without disconnecting the battery (let i go to sleep though - with Geoff's help) with no warning lights anymore Very Happy

I thought that, but mine kept coming on when cold and after starting the vehicle. Apparently, the reduced voltage on the bus thingy can throw up all sorts of alarms. Goes away when reset until the next time. It might not be the reason, but sounds very similar to my issue.
