Weird.
All my FL1's had the same as the D3's system.
So did my Audi and BMW...
Why would they do this the other way round for the FL2 ? Obviously I've never fully locked them
RRS and FFRR work the same as the D3, FL1 etc...
Always one press for full protection and 2 presses for an alternative mode in case you leave animals, human's inside or leave the windows open.
EDIT... actually the FL1 you used the key to lock instead of the handset to disable the deadlocks and interior alarm. But still, one press for full locking.

Has anyone ever replaced the standard sounder with a superior unit (anythings better than the standard one) otherwise I'll be pulling wires off at the weekend.

Chris's thread is here ref the mod... pictures are gone now though, but you don't really need them.
BTW... if your battery goes flat, the horn will NOT work and you WIL NOT have any audible alarm anymore. Mind you, that will be just as useful as the battery backed up sounder is.

Tried as suggested: 1 press of the key is superlocked and 2 allows the doors to be opened from inside.
However there must still be a fault on mine because no amount of frantic waving around from within the car will set off the alarm with either 1 press or 2 on the key fob - so back to the stealers
If it's found to be faulty I bet LR have more clauses than the insurance compay as to why they won't compensate you
Thanks for all your help anyway

But the horn went off went off when you opened the doors ?
Also... did you sit VERY still for at least 30 seconds before moving around ?

Yes the alarm went off when I opened the doors and yes I sat VERY still for over 30 seconds and watched the flashing lights change from multiflash to single flash, twice yesterday and three times today but I won't be throwing a brick through the window or using a hammer to test it further!

Alarm or horn ?? Did you do the mod or are you waiting for the dealer to check the system 1st ?
Might be an idea to ensure the mod isn't done before they do check

Nearly did it today but thanks to the rain I will be leaving it until they have looked at it - I will leave a picture of the Mothering law on the dashboard till then that will keep the out.

After three visits I have a faulty CJB which apparently has been noted before elsewhere on this site, the unit will be replaced next week. The same fault also caused a delay on startiing intermitantly which my previous dealer failed to discover, again reported elsewhere on the Disco3 web site.
I wonder if LR would accept an insurance claim for the strolen items since the lack of protection by the CJB/Sensors were to blame for the alarm failure ? my insurance company would not, worth a try or waisting my time, what do you think?

I doubt it, they'd limit their liability to the part only, 'your fault' for leaving anything else in there.... (apparently!) Bodsys Brake Bible
