I informed my ins. Co. that I had Alive Tuning remap and they said 'that's O.K.' no increase in premium. An Alive Tuning remap still doesn't make a D3 as powerful as a standard D4, so no increase makes sense. 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

My D4 16MY insurance went from £575 to £300 when I declared the map, sliders, tyres etc. Crazy that.
I think you need to name this insurance company as may be worth trying at renewal.
You too Geoff as sound like a sensible insurance company for a change.

Mikey I spoke to Alive and they have confirmed what you said really that any Euro 6, Add Blue 2015 onwards discovery can have the OBD plug in tool with a map of their choice and it will copy the original map as well (upto 5 maps) as well as being a fault code reader. Sounds abit like what GAP were doing with BAS remaps a while back on older models D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Blimey, that's good if unexpected news - i'd expected they'd immediately switch into money making mode..
