Amk compressor repair kits
So I have a repair kit for the dryer ,but can you get a piston repair kit,is worth doing or just buy a new compressor?

It's a double piston arrangement (one large and one small on a shared reciprocating con rod)
The problem is releasing the con rod from the drive without damaging the con rod! It's tricky, and needs a decent workshop set up to do successfully.
If you have the drier kit give it a go as often that's all that is needed. Unless that is, the compressor has been "overrunning" due to a fault, which can seriously damage the piston seals and sometimes the motor.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
I’ve been down this road and struggled to get a UK supplier for the piston seals. There is a supplier in Ukraine with detailed video’s but he may be busy right now....
In the end I didn’t want to buy a bench press for just one job (maybe one day) and went down the lazy mans route and brought a complete compressor (including the L shaped bracket FFS) for £120 from an ebay supplier in Birmingham. Certainly Chinese but 2 months later all is still fine.

Seal kit for AMK inc piston crown is available from Island 4X4. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Thanks for the information , I now have a spare compressor donated from my daughter in laws car after I replaced hers with a new one
