Another reason TO drive a 4x4. |
|
I see in paper today, another increase in deaths in accidents involving police vehicles.(ie. high speed pursuits etc.). Not that I am against the police pursuing these nutters, but if they or indeed, the police vehicle collides with me, I really do, want me and my family, to be able to step out of a mangled D3 and walk away without a scratch, thank you very much. I just hope they are not driving D3's as well.

There are quite a lot of Police D3s on the motorways now. And those numpties at the Highways Agency have got loads of them. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Another reason I want my wife and kids in something that will hopefully survive an attack by some uninsured yob in a Citroen that thinks he is Eddie Irvine.
Considering that our roads are pretty well un-policed so lawlessness is rife, I feel that I have to protect my family as well as I can.
So to you Green T*ssers that keyed my and all the other big cars in my street. Survival of the biggest eh! Don't see a 2CV coming off too well in a head on.
Sorry but still simmering about the damage to my D3
Next time I'm goona buy a Challenger Tank.

don't be sorry mate, positive action is needed - let's dump all the polluting 2CV's, V-dub camper vans, moggie minors and woolly undies wearing lesbo runner bean eating tossers into the nearest crushing plant and recycle them into seat covers

yep, just sacrificed (one of) next-doors cats to the dog-god 'ripitsheadcleanoff' whilst fantisising about my local DP getting @rse-shagged with a b d file whilst the receptionist crapped in his wallet
Ahhhhhhhh...... retribution shall be mine

Oi - leave the moggies out of the bin - they're British (and the same "durable car" arguments apply as for the D3)!
We've still got one, and we were driving it as an only car for about ten years before buying the D3
We're trying to keep up the English eccentric image here in the land of the Espace and other such $hite!

fair point, I suppose out there they don't suffer from dry-rot as much...
How about replacing them with kit-cars? - especially those that used a mkII Escort as the donor vehicle

Nah - at least not for me, but each to his or her own 8)
The BMC A series engine's general bulletproofness and the moggies simplicity has got us out of many a hole that the D3 couldn't.
(Don't shoot me yet, I expect that the D3 will get us out of many a hole that the moggie would just sink in! )
Actually since we live near Paris, it's at least as wet as the UK. Mushrooms are a common sight on the moggie's woodwork - not sure if they're the magic ones though!

Great drive
Another reason:
Tumbledryer gave up the ghost yesterday with tonnes of drying to go. Straight to Currys, bought one that was in stock, sits upright in the back of the Disco, back home and installed, packaging and old one put back in car and off to dump/recycle centre and all done and dusted in half an hour.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it you green t*ssers.
Still angry about the double keying and now have found kebab smeared all over windows.
Good thing I'm not a veggie.

I wonder if these 'do-gooding' green douchebags ever stopped to consider the consequences of their actions:
- installation of security lights on drive to deter vandals = more power required = more CO2
- installation of CCTV to monitor drive+car = more power required = more CO2
- scratched car = unnecessary drive to garage for repairs = more CO2
- kebabs on car = unnecessary wash of car using scarce water (at least in the SE, it is)
Gits. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

You forgot to mention the waste of energy, thus creating more CO2 used to cook the kebabs...
