Yes, I have noticed that too. I think the March 1st 06 reg change was a big catalyst for sales.
There are several other D3's that I regularly see around the manor, some of them occasionaly wave too

Come to Surrey Gareth there are hundreds of them ...sadly most of the women and 'upper class' people who drive them round here wouldn't p*ss on you if you were on fire !!
I have sometimes confused a wave with the fact that they think I smell and are 'hand-wafting' me away 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ...handsome is a bit too 'gay' for me 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

We can't seem to get away from the male orientation here - I keep calling her a 'she' - I figure then that if we're saying that it's a bit 'beefy' but 'feminine' then perhaps it's a 'dyke' 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

isn't it the overall character of the motor that dictates whether it's M or FM?
if it's awkward or tempremental then it tends to be female, if it's straight forward and you have to hit it with with a hammer or swear at it then it's a male?
I've answered my own question here haven't I?
from now on it's LULU!!! and theeeeennn......???
