Does anyone know what this is?

This connection is under the centre armrest, above the cooler box, of my 2005 55 D3 HSE, I have no idea what it is for but am guessing a mobile phone connection? It just seems a weird place/connection/release mechanism.

Any help, ideas, info gratefully received! Question

Ps I have PTI/Bluetooth intergrated............

You get a cradle for your mobile and connect it to the thing you see there....

Stick with Bluetooth.... unless you have an old phone, a cradle will be nigh on impossible to get.

LR have now got rid of it (MY09 onwards I believe).

I have a cradle and Nokia 6230 in a box as I just use the bluetooth connection now that the phonebook download mod has been done to my car.
