Has anyone removed the l rear door card off a 14 reg HSE |
|
Hi all, as the title really
Has anyone removed the l rear door card off a 14 reg HSE I have found the wiki for the D3, But it hs not got the silver bits on the door handle and I don't want to damage / break or mark anything.
its to change the door lock as its not unlocking or locking off the key fob, I did the drivers lock / regulator on my d3 so appart from getting these silver caps off is it a more difficult task?
Cheers
Mike

They do just pry/pop off with gentle application of screwdriver or wide flat bladed pry bar.
From under side. Careful not to slide and scratch them.
I find them easier to pop off than back on.
Changing the lock is fiddly and just takes patience and sore knuckles after.

From the manual.
"GLOBAL OPENING
NOTES
Global opening of the windows can be enabled and disabled via the Vehicle settings menu. See INSTRUMENT PANEL MENU.
To unlock the vehicle and open all of the windows simultaneously, press and hold the smart key's unlock button for 3 seconds.
To cancel global opening, press any of the buttons on the smart key."
Also you will need to reset the one touch open/close feature.
I don't think sun roof closes with this method. L633 Defender

Send window down, when it hits bottom release switch and press down again straight away.
Do the same on closing. L633 Defender
