what does "approved dealer" mean? (warranty) |
|
I have an annual service due soon. I called up some local LR dealers for a quote and they all gave me some ridiculously high quote. Then I called a local "mobile land rover maintenance" company, who quoted me about half of what the dealers did.
I am worried about my warranty though. What if something breaks in the future and Land Rover refuse to replace the part because the car was not serviced at one of their approved dealers. Can they do that? Do they do that?

Hi richyrich,
In Oz, if the vehicle is serviced according to LR specs, using genuine LR parts, your warranty will not be affected.

See if you can get the dealer down on major services and get the oil change done by LR indie.
You can get all servicing done by the indie but you may miss out on some software updates. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
