It is meant to connect the Archos to a TV, but I've also used it to connect a camcorder to the Archos. Works fine, but my camcorder always shows some on-screen information which is then recorded too
I first tried a universal RCA-to-jack cable, but somehow that did not work 2006 Zermatt Silver TDV6 'SE' Auto, Mantec sump guard, Frontrunner roofrack, Lightforce 140s, split charge system and... a Jetboil.

As a result of this thread I just ordered an Archos 704 wifi -160GB
Yep 160GB - special promotion for a limited period only. Check their home page (http://www.archos.com) and go to "Offer of the Week" before 31st March!!!

Wow, nice device! Would have been a bit too expensive for me, but having the touch screen is very nice. On my 504 I only have hard buttons, which are not backlit. Yay-hey! Got what I ordered, all 160gb of it. What a wonderful piece of kit.
Just need to learn what it really can and cant do now. I do lots of "on location" photography and see it as a real bonus for immediate access and display of pictures without lugging a laptop around.
Cant wait to experiment with its tv/movie recording capabilities for later playback either.

having finally decided to splash the cash on a 504 160gb, it would seem Archos are not selling the helmet CAM.
Im a bit of a duffer at this so would appreciate some advice. Where can I buy a helmet CAM that is compatible.
