Auto operation of heater fails to warm the car quickly

If the temperature is below about 8 deg C the only way to get heat into the cabin quickly is by manually opening the floor, dash and screen vents using the left hand buttons on the heater panel.

If the system is left in Full Auto the dash vents do not open, but the fan speeds up when the engine temperature rises and becomes noisy, but the screen and floor vents only do not allow enough hot air into the car in a short time. The engine reaches tempurature correctly.

Has LR changed the software of the heater to stop the dash vents from opening?

The dealer has looked at the system and said nothing is wrong with it (although said that LR have moded the software for the heater and we have the latest version). We have had the car from new and did not have a problem before this past winter, there used to be a good surge of warm air into the car as soon as the engine temp was high enough. But are not sure if the dash vents were opened on full auto.

Mines the same, so I guess this is normal. I thought this is because the car needs to get to operating temperature first then the heat is directed to the cabin. Sure warms up fast when this happens.
