Auto Transmission problem

Just got Disco 3 Auto one month ago its an 05 with 125k on clock and yesterday had no drive/gears and it clunks trying to get into park and it wont hold the car in park either. It was working perfectly up to this point no slipping or jumping out of gear. It doesnt seem like torque converter slipping problem that has a lot of posts on forum. I'm sure its going to be expensive! but any ideas?

Does this sound like the problem?

If so, then it's a very quick, easy and cheap fix Thumbs Up

Made that way?

Attached is a pdf of the underside of the plastic pans for both a ZF 6HP19 and 26 automatic transmission.

The 3 has the ZF 6HP26 automatic transmission. In other words, from what I can make of your picture, I think what you are seeing on your D3 is the way ZF made the pan. If so, all is OK.
