Autobox flush - how much to pay and when?
There are dozens of threads in relation to the auto-box mega flush but I can't see a definitive guide (nothing on the WIKI) as to the recommended intervals for having it done and how much one should expect to pay?
My 2010 D4 (11MY) is approaching 60k, extended LR warranty and the box doesn't feel quite as smooth as it should, has a tenancy to hold 5th and not change up to 6th on the motorway and can occasionally jerk a bit as it drops from 2nd to 1st so considering a bit of preventative maintenance and would appreciate advice ref above.
Alternative is to go back to LR dealer I bought from and get them to look at it but doubt they will agree to a flush until things were much worse and don't want to let that happen.

Thought D4s couldn't be flushed unless someone has found a way round it.Displaced Yorkshireman.

My car is the same as yours, 2010 and 59,300miles. I have just had the autobox flushed by a local LR indy (BLRC in Northern Ireland). They used Millers ATF as the replacement fluid and charged £300. This also included a flushing fluid and I think an additive such as Dr Tranny or similar. I had spoken to a dealer about it and they talked about £1k plus.....
I had my flush done at JGS 4x4 (Kettering) last week, was £260 and included a couple of different additives. Took about 45 mins from start to finish. Seemed a decent job.Ted

Thanks for the replies, I am going to ask the supplying dealer to take a look as not happy about paying as only bought in November as 'approved used'.
There is a definite clunk at times when engaging 1st and if slowing to a stop then trying to pick up again there is a slight shudder and a bit of hesitation, so hard to know if it is the box or just a characteristic of the car.
