Average Fuel display
I have read on this forum about average fuel display changing whilst driving, mine seem to be static and only changes when I start the engine after a journey, is this normal or should there be a setting I can change?2010/60 Discovery 4 XS Zermatt Silver - Privacy Glass, Timed Climate (with remote), Voice, 4x4 screen, Bong on lock/un-lock (Pete BellAutos)

Do you reset it regularly??? If not it will be a long term average and wouldn't expect it to change much if at all. To reset hold the button at the end of the indicator stalk for few seconds til the display changes.
...keep the end of stalk button until the display go's _ _._ _ this resets the average & it will or should start averaging what you vehicle fuel consumption is - it may show crazy values (dependent on what speed & vehicle conditions are) until some data file is stable....
The value should change according broadly what your driving is & seems to update less the longer you leave "resets"...
There is wide opinion on here as to believing the accuracy of this gauge....if you compare it to actual MPG (or Litres per 100km) its somewhere near but not deadly accurate (like some other makes of vehicles) - D3....its a spot reading or based on an average....its only an indication
eg reset coast down a hill with foot off accelerator...you may get 999.9 mpg or if you reset when using low gears with high revs you get abnormally low readings.......I have found on long steady driving conditions (motorway speeds) a reset will give you say 26 to 29 mpg...which compares to reality.BREXIT - done properly.
