the year before last we made the mistake of traveling on a Saturday in France - 2 hrs to get round Nantes!!
Now I always travel thursday, friday, or bettter still, on Sunday.

Ancient - D3 TDV6 S - Tonga with Ebony, 20" Stormers, satnav & DVD
Came out last Sunday and the roads were very quiet as expected.
Saw quite a few D3/D4 heading back up to CalaisD4 2010 HSE Santorini Black
D3 2005 SE Java Black - p/x to D4
D2 2001 GS - p/x to D3
D1 1998 - p/x to D2

I drove from Spain to halfway up France on Sunday just gone and it was manic.
Perhaps it was the route I took which is popular as I expect it is used by everyone coming/going to south of France
