BAS DPF deactivation patch

Have had my EGRs deactivated by a Bell Auto Services patch about a year ago. Thinking about doing the same with the DPF. Has anyone done it? Is there more to it than updating the ECU with the IID tool?

You have probably done it the wrong way.
I have done it on my D3.

Step 1 you blank the EGR
Step 2 you put on an empty DPF (clean out what is inside) sensors and wires should be left as they were
Step 3 Get the EGR patch
Step 4 Get the DPF removal patch

Think blanking without removing the DPF would make the system sick.

Thanks. EGRs are blanked also, so no trouble there. But the DPF is intact at the moment. So if I want to do away with it, the filter should be removed before the software installation.

As I said the recommendation was that egr blanking without removing the dpf is not possible.

Better go back to Pete Bell and get advice on what you did wrong and be careful that by blanking and not removing the dpf you have not damaged the engine or parts of it.
