They were doing a group buy but don't know if it's still going, I got mine from Island 4x4.
Fair amount on cheap alternative diagnostics kits come up every now and again on their site, many because they've not been used since the seller bought an IID BT. The sheer amount of stuff the IID does knocks everything else into a cocked hat, the backup is second to none and if it can't be done on the IID Pat @ GAP will take requests and put them on, either as a one off it generally. I wouldn't be without mine, I've got my D4 and my folk's D4 on it, plus my now dead D3.
But I may be slightly biased.

Are the Britool ones on eBay the exact same thing? Or different software and not as good?
You've linked to a none Bluetooth version, there are two types, one with Bluetooth and one without.
The Bluetooth version is the all singing and dancing, more expensive type.
They're both equally as capable but the Bluetooth version is much more user friendly and interactive ( and better supported in my opinion) though it is considerably more expensive.Mods:

Looks like a GAP tool but through Britpart, older model i think, no Bluetooth but should still work ok, i like the Bluetooth one as your not tethered to the tool by a cable but its all down to what you can afford, better than no tool at all.
THe tool can be updated once registered with GAP for the latest software.

Contact Dan at Duckworth, he had a few left over at £405, he might put one aside for you if he has any, very nice guy to deal with, first class service.

Re the non BT IID, it really does need to then be used through a laptop. I've seen it used through the steering wheel controls half way up a mountain in Spain when I was having overheating problems but it was very unweildy and so much better when we plugged in anglefire's BT unit back at the campsite. I have the app on both my phone and ipad and really easy and convenient just to plug it and use it on my phone, which I always have on me, rather than power up a laptop and get it all connected. The BT side of it is well worth the extra, IMHO.

Bluetooth version is the way to go.
I have a none BT and use my laptop and it's fine but BT version is much easier, quicker and all round better.Mods:

That's for those that want to use all the capability on all cars that it covers, such as CCF edits, updates, etc, etc, etc, whilst charging for these. The non pro version can do all that on one (or two or three up to 10 ISTR if you buy additional licences) but can also look at live values and read/clear faults on any of the cars the IID covers. Most useful in a car park with a group of guy and one car has an attack of the bing-bongs.

Seems best price is £405. Probabalymplus delivery.
But what does that do that ones like CREADER don’t do? I’m talking for real work use.
I think I saw something about adjusting on road and off road suspension height but I’m not bothered about those.
Just trying to figure out what I’d get most bang for buck use from when ignoring features I’d never use....
No point paying for features I’d never use Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE
