BCM and windows not operating |
|
My driver side (LHD) window stopped working on Disco 3 and after trying some different switch panels with interesting success (with one going down, not going up; with other going up, not going down) a local garage told that according to electric diagrams driver side window voltage is also provided by BCM / CJB and due to some reason BCM / CJB is not providing the voltage.
So, according to them I have two solutions:
1) take the BCM out and take it to some electronics technician to inspect and possibly repair
2) New BCM with the respective programming done at a dealer which according to my understanding is a bit of $$$$
Couple of questions:
1) Does the diagnostics seems legit and the problem could be there?
2) Any other simple overlooked fixes available?
3) Is that correct that a used BCM cannot be used due to the reprogramming part or that can be actually fixed?

Check the wires where they come through in to the door, they are known to break there with continuous bending.
