Just had a call from my dealer......
It appears that the disco3.co.uk site (& rrsport.co.uk) are being linked-to on LR restricted internal sites.
Apparently, we are just one of the sites that the 'network' are being offered as a reference point.
Nice to know that your dealer could be using this site to find out what the problem / solution is

Could be counterproductive if we're seen as a 'hostile' environment...

I really hope that DISCO3/RRSPORT aren't seen as hostile by LR, because that isn't what the sites are for
The sites are information sharing resources, not a mouthpiece for moaning and whinging. I think that we all deal with issues well, in a constructive and helpful way.
I hope that LR are using the sites as a source of 'real world' issues and requests.
I would love to hear from someone at LR and for them to let me know how they are using the site 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

Agree with that Martin, if the sites are viewed in a broad context, things are generally positive although some topics can degenerate into a slag-LR-off fest.... especially if viewed with LR binoculars

If the sites were being seen as "hostile" or "projecting a negative image" wouldn't they be banned from internal LR access? regards
tony

I doubt if they'd openly admit to using any source officially beyond "we always welcome feedback and any information from any source is important to us".
Well they might, but then they's have to kill you in a CIA / MI5 type stylee.
8) Dark specs on and all that.

My dealer has no interest in D3's - BMW's are more his style.
I'll get my coat! Loving the power of the TDV8!

Not necassarily... a company I used to work for subscribed to 'newswatch' (or whatever it was called) which was basically a daily email listing all mentions of the company in the media with a rating of +/- points as to how it would affect the public perception.
No reason why this couldn't include web-based media or forums
Although I hope it is used in the spirit of the site
Anyway LR, here's my list of things i'd like in the 09MY
Windscreen ticket clips (put 'em back!!)
Grommeted holes in the bulkhead for accessories to be fitted
USB port (or BT) on the satnav for up/downloading tracks and customising POI's
that's it!

10, a company I worked for buys every single UK newspaper every day. Just for market reflection and +/- adjestments. It's a positive tool to react to public perception regards

For what its worth as a newcomer to the site, but had the LR for 15months.. my perception is that in general:
- Disco3.co.uk is a self help group
- The quality of service is second to none
- Owners like the D3 and will often refer to it as their best car ever
- Yes, there are problems, but with support, they are manageable
- For those of us that own our own vehicles, there is no point if pushing a totally negative viewpoint - we will want to trade-in at some point
If I was LR Marketing, I would probably think, why didn't we set up and manage something like Disco3.co.uk?
How do I feel about my D3 now, after discovering this site - more enthusiatic than before.
The real test will come when my dealer realises that I know more than their average customer about faults and diagnosis. Now that is where LR Marketing could make their mark and encourage their network to treat us positively and not as a problem. I will test it on Thursday. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
