My Lintran cage tacks 5 big whippets no problem, it will protect the dogs in a crash, keep it clean and you can get a divider to seperate dogs. Their demo car is a D3. More expensive than the dog bags and the like but they are the real thing. We breed dogs and travel them to shows a lot, I wouldn't trust any other form of transport. Only a few weeks ago a whippet person was in a RTA the sunroof apparently broke and severed a dog's leg Shocked The dog next to it was in a small cage and the only one not injured in the crash.

My cage also leaves enough room to carry shopping etc around it.

Yes the Lintran boxes are the best around and If you want a permanent dog transport cage you cant do better

In the end I went for dog crates as they were cheaper (£20 each off ebay)and I didnt need such a professional solution. I could remove one when i didnt need 2 crates and still use a 3rd row seat or have half the bootspace free, plus if i need to remove them I can fold them flat for storage.

The lintran is def a good option if you need a permanent solution though.

I always go for a "dog pod" made by hamster baskets http://www.hamsterbaskets.co.uk/dogcages.html as it is tailor made and very protective.

Lintran website http://www.lintran.co.uk/ only Lintran sell Lintran cages.

Remember if using a soft cage, which are great for their purpose, they came about as a lighter cage for dog show people to carry, but unless your dog is rock steady leaving them in it is a no no as a idle minds take about 30 seconds to rip their way out!! Would hate your D3 to then get the same treatment when a weirdy beardy takes it apart!

TFC my secret is out!!

BTW the lintran is very light weight so you can lift them out easily, which many metal cages aren't.

Well I'm finding it very useful. Load liners/dog cages - pretty similar sort of accessories and all designed to tidy up/protect the back of your motor.
Does it really matter if the topic 'progresses' a bit? If it really offends, you could always read a different thread Wink
