Best Diagnostic Tool?

What is the best Diagnostic tool that will reset for example ABS lights, read engine management, etc.
Am looking for the best priced one that i can find.

Have seen some but wanted to know other peoples opinions.

Cheers

Are you after a personal use bit of kit or commercial?

Do you want to read fault codes for all D3 modules or just the ABS/engine ones?

It may well be that a generic scan tool could do what you want.

Personal use only but want to be able to read all faultcodes so don't think a generic one will do.

Cheers

Hiya Fastrac
The reason that its important to know what your intended requirement and usage would be is that there are a number of diagnostic options.

The lowest / least expensive is of course the Generic Code reader, but it sounds like you know thats not much help .
Next up we do a system Called Faultmate MSV-2, it comes in a couple of guises, Specialized D3 (all systems) fault code reader to a far more capable level that can now do some pretty amazing stuff. its about 500 to 800 depending on your needs and comes at that price by virtue of being locked only to your car. I wont say further than that, as i believe that you are looking for independent opinion, to which mine would not count. Whistle

Also in all fairness, i would happily tell you that although our kit can be used in the workshop environment, i would say that for a very busy shop or independent that needs quick easy to use and capable equipment, there is other equipment better suited to that particular role, not least of all Land Rovers own IDS, although obviously any equipment costing several thousand pounds or more is not really priced for private DIY or low usage situations.

So although everyone might have an A is better than B opinion, much like RRSport / D3 owners do, and there are owners and users of everything on this site with all possibilities. and sometimes debate can get a bit hot, Really the true answer to the question "which is best" is all down to you and what you want to use it for.

hope this helps

And welcome to the forum Thumbs Up

The BBS Faultmate will be capeable of writing my remap files.

BBS still have a few more things to implement into the faultmate software then on to final testing, After we have compleated the testing a software update will be available to enable my map files to be written using the tool.

Map files can then be purchased from me for performance tuning/Remapping using the Faultmate.

Regards Pete

Anyone else worked out what it is yet? Confused
