You download the entire contents of the ECU eeprom (2MB) via the OBDII interface into the PowerGate as a BIN file. Connecting your PowerGate to your PC you can the download the BIN file, zip it and email to the tuner of your choice. The BIN file is therefore the original map file of the ECU. The tuner does his thing and makes a new modified ECU map file often called a MOD file which is your remap and emails it back.

The MOD file is is then unzipped on the PC and loaded back up to the PowerGate which can then upload it to your car.

Alientech or celtictuning ? Perhaps both should Very Happy . There are many tuners that rebadge the alientech kit, some of which are site sponsors for example BAS and evolve, but unfortunately their prices are not under 300 GPB all in.

Pete of BAS did say once that he would be happy to supply a MOD file but I had already bought my tune. Given that he specialises in Landrover it may well be better suited to offroading.

TFC was working on something similar but as usual I was too impatient Rolling Eyes

Is it possible for me to get one of these Box's for £199 and get Turbo chip to send me my file , So that i can avoid the dreaded re-set when in at dealers , thus having to get TC out again

cheers
