i use mainly for towing a horse box and this means that off road capability is required. Appreciate that many tyres do the same but just fancy the Scorpion. Budget is circa £450 fitted and balanced for 4.

I got 4 Goodyear Duratracs supplied and fitted by my indie for £572 about 6 months ago.

They won't fit a D4 Thumbs Up

So after lots of on line looking i am back with my local tyre supplier to have Scorpions fitted at just over my budget @ £471.80. Appreciate that they are not ATR but then again a budget is a budget !!

Also i will mention that if you do fit ATR tyres or winter tyres notification to your Insurer is required and also some of the ATR tyres are only "T" rated so that another can of worms for you all Big Cry Rolling with laughter

I was recommended Goodyear Wrangler as my friend who has had 4 Discos got over 40k miles on a set - I have done 0ver 30k now and front edges with 2mm - rears have another 1ok easily size for me 255/60R18 GDYR WR HP 112H XL AW . Bought from Costco at £112 inclusive and the put Nitogen in them free of charge - and I have never needed to top them up - no loss at all !!

I need some new tyres on my D3. The current tyres are Pirelli Scorpion ATR 255/60 R18 and these were purchased in July 2015. However I can only find them on mytyres now, which are a pain.

Does anyone know why these are hard to come by now please?

I have done just over 30,000 on Wrangler HP Mud and Snow - the fronts need changing in about 2,000 as the out edges are wearing - the rears have easily 5,000+ on them.
I ordered through Costco as they discount 2 and 4 tyres. T do recommend Nitrogen as its free there - have to say the tyres pressures have not changed in 2 yrs and I check them monthly.
I also got the air in my wifes tyres changed at Costco as they do it for free for members as well as free tyre pressure checks when you visit.
