How to spot an ex-LRE vehicle

Hi, looking at a D4 but concerned it may be an ex-Land Rover Experience vehicle - any suggestions on what to look out for to identify if that's what its been used for. Although it will have a warranty I'm concerned that lots of sitting on tickover, low speed driving, through water and mud will have taken its toll on bearings, bushes etc and these may fail prematurely. Should I be put off by ex-LRE, or is it not a concern as it will (should) have been well maintained.
As ever, would appreciate the views of the more experienced on here.

All ex LRE vehicles will have a registration beginning with an "O", be in either white, or silver and be a HSE Luxury or (possibly) a Metropolis.

Interestingly, I've been assured by a LRE centre, that I'm booked into for April, that they will be retaining D4's on their fleets beyond the D5's launch and beyond their usual scheduled replacement date.

3/12/2017 Update: What I was told wasn't true. By the time I arrived to have my D4 day out, they'd all been swapped for 5's without further warning.

Same here booked in for Peckforton at the end of this month, and the girl said the same, that they are keeping the D4 for quite the foreseeable.

Check the Sat Nav, it was a simple check that I did on mine to see what it had done and where It had been as I had the same concerns. My 2014 D4 HSE Lux had destinations entered all around Birmingham and it looked as though it has been used as either a management pool vehicle or VIP ferry - it only had 10k on it when I bought it last September and was in mint condition

LRE Awliscombe (yesterday) said that they'd be getting their D5's in April to coincide with the issue of vouchers for the new model. That makes sense.

It certainly does make sense to take delivery of the D5's then, but it's a pleasant surprise to learn that they'll be keeping the D4's too.

There are still going to be a lot people buying used D4's who won't be too happy when they present their vouchers to learn that there's nothing relevant to receive their training in.

I didn't see any Defenders at Awliscombe yesterday but a Series One that had been lovingly restored by a bloke at Matford LR went round the off road course following a Vogue and achieved all that that the modern vehicle could without all the air suspension. HDC & etc. One comment was that the Series One is an appreciating asset. Laughing

The event at Awliscombe was the SW LR Dealers' annual "Hibernot" event where they encourage LR owners on their books to come out of hibernation and partake of some winter activities. This year we were transported to four stops around the course with each stage a separate course of a Lunch meal. It was well done but spoilt a little by the wind and rain. There was a FFRR, RRS and Disco 4. We cried off the Pistol shooting as the rain was horizontal at that stage. Laughing
