BLACK SMOKE ...EGR INJECTORS TURBO OR HOSES

Hi Got a problem with a TDV6 Engine. The car has been stood for about 6 months. Now its pumping out black smoke.
The power seems okay... ive put additives in the fuel done this twice no difference. When i shoot up a hill i get a trail of thick black smoke. No missfire or lack of power. Doesnt seem slugish or lack of power.... car is now out of warranty..
Had a quick look under the bonnet couldnt see any split hoses.. opened the airbox and gave it alittle shake...
Any ideals please help thanks

Any fault codes ? Serious problems should cause ECU to raise faults if EGR / injector / turbo related. If not, if you have a DPF, might need a clean (4th gear on motorway for 20 mins, legal speed (2500-3000 rpm))

If your profile location is correct it could be crap fuel. Lower grade fuel will make it smoke like a 110 Rolling with laughter .

On a side issue. I was in Chippenham the other day and followed a silver D3. When ever it accelerated away from the lights or from a roundabout HUGE plumes of smoke came from the rear. Still had the power though

had a look under the bonnet... so a split air pipe from the intercooler to the engine...

when i took the hose off .. it did drip alittle with oil .... but wasnt full of oil

could this be the cause...

going to duct tape it in the morning with some glue for a temp repair job.. till i get one ordered...
