Lock n Level
Expensive, but are they worth it?
Opinions or experiences please!
Moving from a single axle to a twin next year and investigating the practicalities of levelling, wheel locks, etc.

Look good but we could only use the levelling bags as we have steel wheels on our van so the wheel locking blocks wouldn't work so just not worth it.
Opted for lengths of decking timber to level our twin wheel, not had any trouble and a lot cheaper, I have got a pair of levelling chocks as well but never had to use them.

I do not have one but I have looked hard at this idea for some time now. Have a couple of friends who are very pleased with them. I have heard that the caravan has a tendency to wobble more if the bag is fully inflated. That would seem logical. I can also envisage a situation where it will be difficult to get the air line down the side of the caravan. I will stick with my aluminmum slope, made locally for me.

Wonder if the wobbling can be helped a bit by screwing the steadies down a bit firmer?
Would make it easier if I went with wheel locks though, being able to spin the 2nd wheel into place.
A long piece of wood would be cheaper though!

i use a lock and level on my TA
i find most sites i visit are level, so when a friend was selling a single axle L&L i bought it off him as i wanted something to jack one will off the ground to rotate it to put the lock on, instead of a jack that sunk into the mud/grass more often then i would like, movers mean i could fit the alko axle lift points too
anyway, the L&L makes life so much easier, just run a airpump from the cigar lighter in the van and inflate, though occasionally, if i run the pump long enough, the fuse pops, no biggy, but it happens
Wooden blocks from offcuts thrown in skip and a couple of those plastic worktop protectors that are £2.99 for six in Lidl are all you need.
Oh - and how to use them, of course.

we rarely visit a rally site that is level as they are just fields most of the time, though school sports fields are a bit of a luxury I must say!
Might be harder to decide if they weren't so ridiculously expensive.

Have been using one for the last couple of years on our TA van and I am really pleased with it.
We replaced two of the Milenco type screw levellers and the Lock and Level is much easier to use for us.

Been looking at it for a couple of years now.
But to be honest, 3 planks of wood, or one of the yellow ramps, i always manage to level the TA van.
A couple of friends have them, and love the system.
But at the moment i cannot warrant buying one myself.
But saying that as i get older i may change my mind.
